QUAD-MOUNTAIN BIKE : DESCENDING THE MAKES for half a day
You’ll start in the middle of the Makes Forest located in the “Parc National des Hauts” known as a World Heritage Site. The view of Cilaos from « The Window », of the south coast and the Piton de la Fournaise is breathtaking.
Time: around 3 hours
Meeting at 8:15 (Hyper U parking) in St. Louis and return around 12.30

QUAD-MOUNTAIN BIKE – DESCENDING THE MAKES : full day with lunch

QUAD-MOUNTAIN BIKE – DESCENDING THE VOLCANO : full day with lunch
Starting at « Pas de Bellecombe » (2300m), you’ll be able to enjoy the view ofthe Enclos Fouqué and Piton de la Fournaise. The relay vehicules will lead the way so the ride can start. Since you’re mainly going down, the climb of Pas des Sables can be avoided. After this step, the adventure goes on: be ready to bike on the paved forest road of the volcano.
Time: 3 hours

Technical Information:
Like mountain biking, this adventure allows you to practice a sport very close to nature without having a special training. If you’re looking for something extraordinary, fun and ecological, then biking is for you: children as well as adults will be able to experience safely new thrills (1m20 to 2m00). All you need is 4 wheels mounted in the chassis of a 27-speed mountain bike, a comfortable seat, pedals and possibility to add a child trailer.

The Service includes :
A snack at the end of the ride, quad mountain bikes, gloves and helmets, supervision by qualified instructors (1/12 people).
A 1-liter bottle of water will be provided for everyone as well as a lunch in a Creole restaurant or table d’hôte (for days only).
Bring sports clothes, change of clothes, waterproof and windproof jacket, water, hat and sunscreen.

Maximum : 14 QUAD-MOUNTAIN BIKES (can be mixed with VTT)

This new product allows you to practice a sport almost entirely downhill, close to nature : without any required training, everyone will enjoy it! The three-wheeled bike is suited to many disabilities or injuries: it’s perfectly safe and stable. It allows you to roll slowly uphill at your own pace, without setting foot on or off the bike. You can even read an IGN map, drink, eat, take pictures, make videos, and change the music on your MP3 while rolling. These bikes have mirrors, bell, safety flag and pedals that don’t stick when you turn. To sump it up, this ecotouristic sport gathers an elongated position with a panoramic vision: Be ready to experience new sensations.

You have contracted a severe illness called “Freeride” : extreme for some, fun for others.
You must come prepared to this Olympic activity: whether you’re on a Pasta Power, a Jeckyll or another bike, you won’t forget this amazing experience. The descent is exceptional and neither Fred, our former champion of France trial nor Gildas, our defending XC champion will miss the occasion to accompany you for this great adventure.. Once you enter the bowels of the volcano there is no exit before St Joseph.

Technical Information :
The minimum level is in good physical condition with a pretty good experience as a mountain biker. Some passages are quite technical, accessible to regular bikers. Bring sportswear, change of clothes, waterproof and windproof jacket, water, hat, and sunscreen.

Classic Downhill
You will start at 2200 meters facing the incredible view of the cirque of Mafate! After this breath of oxygen, the adventure all the way down to the lagoon can start. You will go through the forest of cryptomeria and then into the Tamarins forest for some technical passages. Some stops will allow you to enjoy the view and share your impressions of biker. At the end of the Tamarins forest, the sky almost blends into the ocean. The lagoon and the beach of St Gilles are now visible. After crossing the meadows, you will see the famous cane fields rising up in front of you. Once arrived to the beach, a swim in the warm waters is waiting for you.
Technical Information : Nature-orientated Sport that is accessible to everyonce (from the accomplished free rider to the beginner) since it’s only downhill trails. The mountain bikes are made with front and rear suspensions. Some parts are a bit technical, but completely doable for beginners.
Bike, gloves and helmets are provided and supervised by qualified instructors (1/12 people). Transfer from St Gilles to Maïdo : maximum 27 people. Otherwise, another transfer should be planned. Lunch at a table d’hôte or restaurant on request. Bring sportswear, change of clothes, waterproof and windproof jacket, water, hat and sunscreen.
Time : around 3h30 – 35 km – Timing: 7h30 to 12h30

Sporting Downhill: You will start at Megavalanche (2200 meters altitude) for a a technical descent through a setting that looks like the most beautiful landscapes you’ve alsways been dreaming of. You will be supervised during the all descent by an instructor that will also give you advice to help you make the most of it.
Technical Information : This bike tour has the advantage of being entirely downhill. Some passages are quite technical, accessible to regular bikers. Bring sportswear, change of clothes, waterproof and windproof jacket, water, hat, and sunscreen.
Time : around 3h30 / 35 Km / Timing: 7h30 to 12h30. Bike, gloves and helmets are provided and supervised by qualified instructors (2/12 people)
